Fishery rules
To ensure that the high standards set by Foxearth Fishery are maintained it is essential that the following rules and regulations are read thoroughly and obided at all times. The rules are put in place to protect both anglers and the high quality fish within the fishery waters.
Carp lake
- Anglers must be in possession of an Environment Agency rod licence/s.
- All Anglers must collect their ticket upon arrival.
- Every Angler must be in possession of a suitably sized unhooking mat, weigh sling and landing net.
- 2 Rods a third may be used(conditions apply), 2 Rods maximum if sharing a zone.
- Barbless and Micro-barbed hooks only.
- Safety rigs only.
- The management reserve right to check your rigs on request.
- No sacking of fish.
- Fish should be returned to the water as soon as possible and handling kept to a minimum.
- No fishing for the Pike (at present)
- Rods not to be left unattended, no further than the next zone on your side of the lake. ( to cover yourself remember the Environment Agency regulation)
- Tiger Nuts and Peanuts as hook bait only.
- Pre-baiting by appointment and only available to registered anglers
- Prior permission is needed for spectators, do not give code to spectators and spectators must be off site before closing.
- No fires allowed.
- Disposable barbeques allowed off of the grass only.
- Do not attempt to prune trees, cut or damage the vegetation.
- Alcohol permitted in moderation.
- Any socials should be held away from the lakeside and lines should be reeled in. (Please respect other Anglers and keep noise to a minimum).
- All litter must be removed from your peg and deposited in the bins provided. If bins are full, or items are too large then please take them home. (Foxearth Fisheries operate a zero tolerance policy on littering)
- Anyone found taking fish will be prosecuted.
These rules are in place to protect the fish and environment, any Angler in breach of these rules will have their registration suspended.
Pleasure and Traditional lakes
- Anglers must be in possession of an appropriate Environment Agency rod licence.
- All Anglers must purchase a ticket upon arrival.
- Every Angler must be in possession of a suitably sized unhooking mat, weigh sling and landing net.
- You must possess a suitable disgorger and forceps.
- 2 Rods maximum. (one on traditional lake)
- Barbless hooks only.
- No spinning or lure fishing
- The management reserve right to check your rigs on request.
- No sacking of fish.
- No keep nets.
- Fish should be returned to the water as soon as possible and handling kept to a minimum.
- Do not handle fish with cloths.
- Rods not to be left unattended.
- Fishing from pegs only.
- No fires allowed.
- Do not attempt to prune trees, cut or damage the vegetation.
- Alcohol permitted in moderation.

The Management reserves the right to amend or add to these rules, if in doubt about the above or anything that may not be mentioned, please contact the management.
These rules are in place to protect the fish and environment, any Angler in breach of these rules will be asked to leave.
